Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
We do indeed have much to be thankful for!
Here is last year's post (I had more time then to post funny links!). Yes, yes, I know, the Norman Rockwell painting is the same one I posted last time, too. But I just love it. It's an American icon! And so are the ideas it depicts: home, family, lots of good food and fun. The title is "Freedom from Want." Indeed.

The menu for my own Thanksgiving festival-of-gluttony:
- Roast turkey
- Cornbread stuffing with onion and celery
- Homemade gravy
- Green beans with olive oil and garlic
- Roast sweet potatoes
- Baby carrots caramelized with brown sugar and cinnamon
- Bread rolls
- Pumpkin pie
- Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting
There may be more items; I'm not sure yet. The Sibling, though he can't be with me today, always requests broccoli-and-cheese rice, scalloped potatoes au gratin, and the turkey drumsticks!
UPDATE: Turkeys in New Jersey try escaping by train! (Video too.) Hilariously funny -- especially as I've had to travel by New Jersey Transit trains before!
