Nerd News: Creative Cheating for Chinese Students

Education is a matter of supreme importance in China and many Asian nations. It also brings out all kinds of passions, and competition is fierce.

Remember the recent Chinese diploma riots?

Here's another story: some students are cheating in very creative ways on college entrance exams.

China, by the way, has a long history of exams and an equally long history of cheating.  My favorite story from history is cheating on exams by smuggling answers inside steamed buns (bao)! 

Here's a well-known book on the topic, and it's got the great title of China's Examination Hell (Yale University Press, 1981).
