You already know how I feel about mandatory "diversity training." (otherwise known as "trafficking in scapegoats and stereotypes.")

Yes, dopey diversity training usually ends up causing or exacerbating divisions because it has no priority on seeking common ground for all. We're never going to get along if all we do is emphasize our differences (or, even worse, the adversarial possibilities of difference -- let's all play the victim blame game and see who feels the worst).
